Cut a section of a video in Final Cut?

Very n00b question, I know...but I'd like to know how to cut out any section from a video in Final Cut, say I got a 10 minute video but want to leave out 2 minutes in the middle.

look on the far right of the screen right next to the video timeline and the sixth icon down looks like a razor blade click that and then click on the point in the video that you want to cut click and then delete the section that you don't want.
