Cut and copy ,cut and paste help?

i am trying to copy and paste but am getting stuck on where to go to paste,i hope you know what i mean.if i choose to copy to another window does the click to move not stop the operation taking place.for instance if i want to copy something to my documents i have to click to get there.Hope someone knows what i mean i'm not sure i do, thanks in advance groucho.

you have to highlite the portion you want to copy by dragging your mouse, then you click the second button on your mouse and click copy, and it will automatically be copied to your computer. then you simply click the second button on your mouse again, then click paste anywhere, say, a word document and the portion your copied will be pasted there.

Because you give the example that you want to copy to My Documents, I'll assume you are copying files from one folder (or window) to another.

Clicking in another window does not stop the copy operation. In fact, the copy operation does not really start until you choose the destination. You can right-click a file (or folder, for that matter) , choose Cut or Copy from the menu that opens, then navigate (click or whatever) to another folder (or window), right click in the window or on a specific folder, choose Paste, and the object you selected at first will be will be moved (if Cut) or copied (if Copy) there.

if your not sure open where you want it to go then drag and drop at least you can see where your putting it might be easier for you
