Cut on my foot-(heel)?

Question

I have a cut along my foot about 2.5 inches long and about a 1/2 inch deep. I was swimming and cut it on a rock. It is very sore to the touch and to walk on and it is very dirty. I am sure there are little rocks in it.

It is not bad enough to go to the hospital but I am worried it get infected so I am not sure what to do. Any advice?

first of all u have to go to hospital to get it cleaned and by the sounds of it u might need stiches aswell go as soon as u can

Give it a good soak in salty hot water.

Put a pad of cotton wool or clean linen-soaked in iodine-on it and change it 2xdaily .put a plastic bag and a sock on top to prevent a mess.

Or better still buy a spray of dry povidone iodine(savlon do one)it washes out easily and doesn't stain.

i would clean it out and put so antiseptic cream on it put a couple of band aids over it and if it doesn't go away go to the haspital cuz if they're rocks in it it has bacteria in it and thats how it gets infected

You need to clean it out properly and make sure there are no rocks left it the wound.  If you can't do this yourself, then go to the doctor.  If you don't get it cleaned up properly, it will get infected and will hurt even more.  Also, if you still have rocks left in the wound, it will just cause even more problems down the line.
