Cutbacks help?

I've finally got the floater down and I need help doing a cutback any suggestions? btw I'm regular not goofy

  1. Check this link for one of the best explanations for doing a cutback on the net (w/ video).  You need speed.  w/o speed you'll wind up digging rail or just doing a 1/2 turn.  Also, in addition to looking into your turn, I like to dip my right hand (goofy foot on frontside cutback) into the water behind me.  It really helps with getting your shoulders around and setting up the rest of your body.

  3. Largely it's all practice, you just gotta feel the wave. For cutbacks i usually lean slightly forward or back in the direction i want to go. Then it's just feeling the wave and working with it. Just remember, where you look is where you usually go. When I setup for any turn, i look where i want to go first, then twist my upper body into that turn. The legs and board should follow naturally.
