I live in PA and this is what I am whering

A pink skirt

A white fitted shirt

and white lace sandles

I got my shoes at Macy's

and my skirt and shirt at B. Moss

I got all my back to school clothes from American Eagle Outfitters.

On the first day, I'm wearing:

Black skinny jeans,

White camisole,

Yellow button down shirt

Black ballet flats.

I mean, it all depends on where you live: you don't want to be too hot or freezing. I live in MA so wearing layers in September is good...but if you live in Florida, you may want to wear a denim mini skirt, a polo shirt, and some flip flops.
