Cute/ crazy-ish hair cut help!?!?

i have wanted my hair to be red for a long time (just a lighter red, nothing too dramatic), and i wanted to get it cut too. i love the hair leesha has in these videos: (the more recent videos, and i would keep a little mor length, i really just like the bangs!)

my mom says it is a little too funky, but im tired of my layers and sidebangs like everyone else.

what do you think i sould do?
