Cute or overboard...??

There is a really nice family down the street from me and we usually get our kids together to play..but i have a hard time keeping track of them because they all have K names.

there are 5 kids, 3 girls and 2 boys. (and even mom and dad have a K name!). and not just that but the kids names all have the "ken" sound to them.

Mom-Kimberly

Dad-Keith

#1-Kenneth-boy

#2- Kinzee-girl

#3- Kendrah-girl

#4-Kendale-boy

#5-Kynadie (like Kennedy)

so you see why i get tongue tied lol.

do you think this is cute, or overboard?

Since they have so many kids, it's a little overboard. However, my friend is Caroline, and her 3 sisters are Corinne, Caitlynn, and Christine. It's not so difficult once you get to know the kids. The weird part is her parents names are Paulette and Peter and so it's like parents start with P and children start with C.

Reminds me of my ex's family.

Josh, Justin, Jesse, Jordan, Jaron.

Was very confusing getting them all straight.

Can be fun to a point, but when it gets to where their names sound the same, way overboard.

My sister is naming her kids al "J" names, but she only has two, so it's not as bad.

I dislike the misspellings

I dislike the lack of creativity - I find it much more creative to come up with something beautiful for your child from the names already available, rather than butchering a perfectly good name. Also, it shows more creativity to come up with 5 different and beautiful names, rather than try and limit yourself in a theme.

However, they are not my children - If I were you, I might try and come up with nicknames for them that are different (or at least the ones that end up at your home frequently!)

Yes, I bet they are cute kids, but over the top in the K category. My grandmothers neighbor were all D's, Darcy, Darla, Delbert, Debbie,Dwayne,Denise and yes I get tongue tied too.

And Kinzee is very childish (not a good name for a professional adult, which she will be someday), and the Y in Kynadie does not make a short E sound like Kennedy, it makes a short i sound like Kinnady.

I think that it's cute. The family of thirteen kids who all had J names is overboard. All the names being somewhat similar also gives the parents less to remember. I can personally vouch for this since I'm a child in a family of five kids. We all have different names and out dad often gets us mixed up with each other and sometimes even calls us the names of our aunts and uncles. So it might also serve a purpose as well as being kind of cute.

I think it is stupid. I have a friend, and everyone in her family has the same initials, ZDZ. Even their pets have names that begin with Z. It's so stupid and not cute at all.

p.s. Serina and Mirrina are twins, and so are Julina and Zalina. Katalina, Katarina and Katammina are triplets. Is that crazy or what?

My friend is named Kayla and she has a brother named Kyle and a sister named Kristen. But I think 7 people with "K" names is a bit overboard.

I actually like all those names. I knew a family that had ALL J's.(Both parents and their 4 kids) I thought it was kindof cute.

I, personally, think it's a bit much, but I know several families like this. One has names that all start with "J", even their pets and oddly enough both their older 2 daughters are dating guys with "J" names. Another family I know also has kids with names that all start with "K". It's their choice and they like it that way. It doesn't really bother me. I understand how you get confused, though.

Personally I feel that it is completely overboard, but to each their own. To be honest my boyfriend and I have similar initials, and when we marry we will have the exact same initials AJT. We have discussed the idea of making sure our first child (if we decide to have children) has these initials as well! So really, who am I to judge?
