  1. Wear alot of blue or pink and decorate in them colors.  Just to see if they will notice and if it sinks in.

Also they have them cute tshirts out now, you could get one and wear it.

Wait til your husband does something crazy or upsetting and say "your daughter/son wouldn't approve or like that"

I couldn't do anything fun, my husband told me from the beginning it was a boy.  His family has 4 generations of all boys, and our son starts the 5th.  So he wasn't shocked at all..

  2. buy the cards that say, its a boy or its a girl and post it, dont hand deliver it. then let them call you and say i got your card. just write inside.

    Guess what?!

    love from ________ x*x

obviously your husbands will go to your home, but when he gets home just say, oh some post came for you today.

  3. You could take an ultrasound down to a photo shop that prints on items. You could print on things such as a pink teddy's t shirt for girl, blue for boys, a pink cushion for a girl, blue for a boy etc etc.

Or on a white cushion, print the picture and write for a girl, Our little Princess, and for a boy, Our little man.

  4. My sister did this to me.

She made cupcakes for me one day, and i was a little suss considering she was married and living out of home ect. ha ha. but i was like "okay, cool. Did you have an ultrasound today?" And she was like "yeah i did. Open the container" so i did.

And the cupcakes were pink! - Yes, she died the batter too! And then pink icing and then on the pink icing in white, there were 9 cupcakes. with the letters:

    I T S

    A

    G I R L !

Spelled out on them. I thought it was really cute. And it was just for me. You could do something similar for your husband, but maybe with his favourite food? Or drink? Dye his white wine blue if its a boy? haha.

Or give the cupcakes to your mum =]

My sister got my mum a whole bunch of pink roses and said they were really for a reason, but she would figure it out sooner or later.

She sent her one rose, everyday for a week.

Each rose had a letter attatched. But she jumbled them so it wasn't obvious.

    E.g.

The roses came in the order of:

    L T R I S A I G

Then mum had to make it into " ITS A GIRL" after the 8 days. :)

I thought they were cute so yeah. Hope it helps.

  5. Why not buy a "Daddy's girl" or "son" onesie?:)

Or just show up wearing lots of blue or pink and wait to see if they find out!

  6. You could buy a card for your husband and mum that has no message in it and write a little message yourself from the baby. I think that would be so cute. You would end it with something like " Lots of love your little princess/granddaughter"

  7. Why is nobody coming to the scan with you?

Forget "cute". That scan doesn't happen so you know whether to paint the nursery blue or pink. It happens so the doctors know whether there is anything dreadfully wrong with your baby. Please treat it as a medical procedure, and take someone who can support you if it's not good news.

  8. You could buy a bib or a onesie that says "I love my Grandma" or "Daddy Loves Me" in the appropriate color for the gender, that way they get the idea in a cute way and you can still benefit from it and use the items for your baby.

  9. oh i got one get

a young child 5 to 9 years old have that child say something that he or she has accomplished at today like "I won my soccer game today" or "I got a 100 on my spelling test and then have him/her say I wish my little boy/girl cousin/Brother/Sister was here to see this

  10. I found out a few days before mothers day what my twins were. I took my ultrasound pics from that day scanned them into the computer and replaced the A & B that usually marks them with their names, Madison and Kaitlin. I printed off the pictures and put them into a photobook. That was one of her presents. My boyfriend was there, it had been 13 years since his twin boys were born, he was amazed at the clarity of the ultrasound, and excited to find out what they were. I think he was more eager than I was.

  11. Have the family over for dinner or dessert and coffee (desert and coffee is always better). Buy (or make if your a baker) cupcakes and plastic tags (you know, those things that they put on top of cupcakes in the bakery) which you can find in the grocery or dollar store. Write "It's a ___!" or if you have discussed it with your family, write the name of what you are going to name the baby on the tag. I hope this helps! I wish you the very bet of luck!

  12. I took the sonogram pictures to wal-mart and scanned them onto their photo printer.  Once they were uploaded, they have all these neat things you can do with them.  I just added a pink ribbon and bow around the outside of the profile picture that I had of our daughter.  They figured it out REAL quick.  My husband was in boot camp at the time.  He later told me that he was literally jumping around and shouting when he got the photos (we NEVER expected a girl).  He then got in trouble by his commanding officer and had to do 50 pushups.  lol
