  1. Neither, just feel, look cleaner.

Doesn't really matter, never really thought about it.

when ever you feel like/ remember to.

  2. An Ear, Nose & Throat Doctor will tell you that you should NEVER use Q Tips as all they do is pack the wax in against your ear drum and cause many ear problems. Better to hold your head to the side and tug on the earlobe to get the water to run out.

  3. Q-tips if used improperly can cause damage if the eardrum is ruptured, and/or if wax in the ear canal is pushed deeper into the ear.  If you must use them, use them after the shower but don't go into the canal itself--use to dry the outer ear and very opening of canal only.  Using Q-tips too much can lead to dry/itchy ears, so every 2-3 days at most.

  4. You should be using an ear syringe. It is a rubber bulb you fill with warm water and squirt into your ear. It aggravates your ear less than using a Q tip. The Q tip would cause more wax to be made and also the danger of puncture would be increased.
