Cutting Hair before 1st Bday?

I saw lots of people saying they are so against it, but never really a reason why. I am a lil confused and was hoping someone could explain it. Is this a religious thing?

Amanda hit the nail right on the head.  It's not a religious thing; those against it are just nuts.  If a child needs a haircut, then he should have a haircut.  

You know what?  I've decided that I'm against kids under the age of 6 months taking baths.  Instead, I think they should just wallow in their own filth, because I'm nuts like that.  =)

It's strange Tati isn't a hindu name and its prohibited in Indian cullture too..... i mean hindu religion.... but dont know why!

It could just be one person's opinion. Nothing wrong with cutting their hair whenever it needs it. Some people may wait until their 1 yr old so that it is a milestone, tradition type of a thing. Go ahead and get out the scissors, you are doing nothing wrong.

Speaking of haircuts, how much is everyone paying to get there toddler's hair cut?   We paid $20 last time, and that did not even include tip!    Ouch!   However, I sure is heck do not want to  be behind the scissors!     No way!

The girl that asked it is a complete moron. There is nothing wrong with it. If a child needs a hair cut, they need a freakin hair cut. People don't look down on children with short hair.
