Cutting holes on motorcycle fairings?

I need to cut 4 holes, aprox 2 1/2 inch in diameter, to put some light on my fiber glass race fairing but I don't know what tool to use or what's the easiest and cheapest way to do it

suggestions?

  1. Just drill a small hole and use a dremel tool to go around and make the holes to size, this way you will not tear or crack the fairings like you would with a big hole saw or with a big drill bit.  It will still look great when you are done although it takes abit longer.

  4. I would use a hole saw. Mark where you want the hole to be and drill a small guide hole first, then cover the area to be cut with masking tape to prevent ugly chipping on the edges of where the saw cuts and drill the hole.
