Cutting off brake k***s on my bike?

how should i take those little brake k***s off of the top tube without ruining the frame?

What the h**l?   Well, if you really want to, your best bet is to use a dremel tool with a cutting disc and a grinding stone.....very carefully.  If you work slowly and don't slip, you can trim off the braze-ons and smooth them up without ruining the paint.  It'd be a good idea to apply some silicone caulking around the are to help protect the paint if you slip with the tool.  You could either smooth out the cut portions, or you could attempt to grind the whole fitting off of the tube....if you take it all the way down I'm betting you'll need to repaint.

    If you're going to paint the bike anyway,  and if the braze-ons were actually brazed (a steel frame), then you can use a small torch and heat them up until the brazing lets loose, then pull them off with pliers. This will require proper after-heat treatment as well so that you don't leave the tubing in an annealed state.   This won't work on any other frame material where the braze-ons are welded or bonded to the tubing.
