Question:

Cuttlebug/Sizzix Die Cuts?

I have just bought a cuttlebug and waiting for delivery. This will be my first die cutting machine so i am a novice.

Whilst looking at the Dies some of them are different colours etc, now i am guessing some are cut out adn stuck on to give the different effects, however some example being the dress stand and dress is on shape, how are they different colours, How do you do that?

Is it a matter of cutting out and adding to the basic shape, or cutting from plain paper and colouring yourself?

Hope that makes sense!

  1. You have to use the die cut twice--once in the color you want for the stand and once in the color you want for the dress.  It's sort of annoying, I know, to have to waste the paper like that, but it will look better than coloring them.

  2. Basically, if the finished shape has several colors, you cut the shape several times out of different color paper, leave the basic shape in tact and start cutting the different colors.  Then layer them.  Sizzix website had directions on that once, if I find it I will post them.  You can also cut them out of white an color them yourself, but I like the layered look.
