Cyber School?

Question

I am planning to cyber school my son. I am trying to decide between PA Cyber and Agora. Any thoughts?

I've heard great things about Agora!  I've used the same curriculum as them, K12, for over 5 years and love it.

There is also PAVCS, which uses K12 also:

It's been around longer than Agora.

I go to PDELA, and the teachers are amazing. You can set up private classes and they will help as much as they can. It's great.

I have heard good things about PA Cyber.

K12 was mentioned, and I've heard that it isn't good. I was told that the website will shut down after a certain time in the day, whether you are done using it or not.

Any school that uses the K12 curriculuim is going to be as good as the other. K12.com has invested more than $100 million into creating a great curriculuim. We have been using it for awhile now and I won't use anything else. K12 doesn't shut down every day at a certain time, although once a month they will shut down the website at 5pm to do maintainance on the site. They usually do it on a Friday so it is nonintrusive. From a parent standpoint I love it....and my daughter is getting a great education.
