Cyber Secret gets entered into the 2012 Triple Crown parade
The three-year-old Kentucky bred colt of Broken Vow, out of Stomping, Cyber Secret is owned by Charles Cella and is trained by Lynn Whiting. He is the 398thentry in the Triple Crown nominations for this year. The young colt has made only
four career starts so far, and won through his seasonal debut on 4thFebruary.
Cyber Secret won an allowance race on 4th February at Oaklawn Park which was raced over a distance of 1 1/16 miles. The runner up of the race was, Ring It Up, and the third to follow after the winner was Red Jack. Cyber Secret
raced through the distance in a minute and 45.43 seconds.
This was the second start of the new season for the three-year-old colt, who was positioned ninth prior to this in an allowance race on 15th January at Oaklawn Park. Even in this one, Ring It Up was the runner up.
During the 2011 season, Cyber Secret raced two times out of which he only won his maiden stakes on 20th October at the Belmont Park, raced over 1 1/16 miles which he covered in a minute and 18.61 seconds.
The only graded stakes that, Cyber Secret, has ever taken part in is the Grade 2, Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes on 26th November at Churchill Downs, staged over 1 1/16 miles. He finished seventh in the race while, Gemologist was
the winner, and Ever So Lucky qualified as the runner up of the race.
The US Triple Crown comprises of three legs that include the Grade 1, US $2 million Kentucky Derby that is raced over ten furlongs, and was won by Animal Kingdom last year. It is scheduled for the first Sunday of May.
Next in line is the Grade 1, US $1 million Preakness Stakes which is raced over nine and a half furlongs at Pimlico Race Course on the third Saturday of May each year, which this time would be on 19th May. In 2011, it was won
by Shackleford.
Third and final leg of the Triple Crown is the Grade 1, US $1 million Belmont Stakes at Belmont Park over the distance of 1 ½ miles, held in June. Ruler On Ice won it in the year 2011.
