Cycling, Members who have poor results for 08?

Question

Why does the Aust Federation continue to pick personnel who are over thirty, when they have had four years to blood our younger champions. Teams should be picked on current results n not on results that have been recorded in Jan or Feb

I was surprised to see Shane Kelly and Bradley McGhee competing at the Olympics. They've been great cyclists in the past but surely they're both a bit over the hill, especially Kelly.
