Cycling Profile: Edvald Boasson Hagen
Edvald Boasson Hagen is a Norwegian professional road racing cyclists and currently, rides for Sky Team. He was born in May 17, 1987 in Norway and he is considering one of the best cyclists in the sport and he also took Norwegian Time Trial champion.  
In 2004, Hagen took first place in U-19 road race champion and retained his lead and also took the U-19 time trail championship. He started his professional career in 2006 and took a part in Norwegian continental team Maxbo Bianchi team and took his four
stages and grabbed the overall 14th place in Tour de l’Ain. He also took first and fifth stage of Internationale Thuringen-Rundfahrt and secured third place in Ringerike GP. He also took the runner-up spot on National road race championship.
In 2007 Hagen enjoyed a successful season and took first and second stage and took the overall leader yellow jersey in Paris-Correze as well as points standing. He lost fifth stage in Giro in 2007 after the disqualification in May 2008 for doping.
He took the four stages and overall standing of Ringerike GP and also took two stages of Tour de Bretagne. He took a part in Tour de Normandie and grabbed the eight stage and took overall seventh place in Tour. In the end of the season Hagen announced that
he would leave Maxbo Bianchi team.
In 2008, Hagen started this season with High road/Columbia team and grabbed fifth place in prologue stage of Tour of California ahead of David Millar and Gustav Larsson who is time trial specialists. He won the third stage of Criterium International ahead
of Tony Martin. He continues his showed his good effort and took the runner-up spot at Commerce bank reading classic and secured title of National time trial champion for second time in a row.
He also won the fourth and fifth stage of Tour of Britain and sprints competition and grabbed first place in Grand Prix de Denain.
In 2009 season, Hagen took the cobbled classic Gent-Wevelgem against Aleksandr Kuschynski of Liquigas. He took a part in Giro d’ltalia first time his career and his team sky won the team time trial and he took the seventh stage and secured runner-up spot
in six and eight stage. Hagen also took the four and sixth stage to grabbed overall third spot in Tour de Pologne. He ended the season by the four stages and secured overall standing of Tour of Britain.
In 2010 season Boasson joined Sky Team and took part in Tour of Qatar and grabbed first place in Time trial of opening stage. One week later, he took the two stages including the final stage and easily beat Fabian Canceralla. In this event he claimed the
runner-up spot in the overall standing and took the points standing as well as best young rider title. He also won the seventh stage of Criterium du Dauphine and also took first place in Dutch Food Valley classic as well as maintained his national time trial
title.
In 2011 season Hagen was in runner-up spot in Tour of Oman also secured points jersey. He continued his effort and took the sixth and seventeen stage of Tour de France. He also secured the first stage of Bayern-Rundfahrt and took the National time trial
champion. He grabbed the sixth stage and overall standing of Eneco Tour. If he continues his effort then there is possibility that he can win next year's Tour of Oman.
