Cycling Update: Fabian Cancellara wins fourth Time trial
Fabian Cancellara is currently enjoying the best moments of his professional career as he has been able to utilize his skills to the fullest. In a recent race, the twenty nine year old ace cyclist lashed at his British opponent, David Millar and firmly grasped
his fourth Time trial title at the 2010 Road World Championships event.
It was a truly brilliant performance by the Swiss as he kept his focus and finished the 45.8 km in only fifty nine minutes. Millar finished second and he was then followed by the Australian top cyclist, Tony Martin who finished his race in fifty nine minutes
and twenty one seconds. Cancellara has already won the Time trial at the Championships thrice. Before this race, he had shared the record of most Time trial victories with the Australian, Michael Rogers.
By winning the recent Time trial event, Cancellara has proven himself to be one of the best cycle racers of all times but still, the Beijing Olympics’ gold medalist doesn’t seem too sure about his performance at the race as he said that he was feeling slightly
out of temper and out of touch then. He has pulled out of the Tour of Spain due to physical fatigue. The Time trial master told the media persons that he will rethink his decision regarding the Tour of Spain only if he feels hundred percent fit.
Fabian Cancellara’s fourth Time trial victory at the Road World Championships is definitely dear to him as it has given him new inspiration and hope for the future. He commented on it and said that he was delighted with the way he had performed there as
earlier he wasn’t sure of a victory due to his incomplete form. He added that it was a tough route and he wasn’t really sure about his physic but despite this, he was able to settle the brawl in a marvelous way. Cancellera also praised the performances of
his rivals in the race and said that Miller did a great job who gave him a hard challenge.
The fans of this Swiss champ are always up to see him winning and Cancellera is well aware of this fact. The twenty nine year old maintained that he is happy to know that his fans support him and he hopes to remain motivated and focused towards his future
targets. Finally, by winning the Time trial event for the record fourth time, Fabian has definitely made history but he remains hopeful for the upcoming cycling events as well.
