Are there any laws in NY State which prohibit listening to music while cycling? If so, what are they?

  1. People spend hundreds on in-car stereos, with 'bass boxes' that collapse buildings! . . . .  but still say an iPod on a bike is dangerous . . . . what piffle!!!!!

On the above basis it makes me wonder why the hard of hearing aren't banned from driving or cycling ???

When I am doing solo miles, I wear an iPod, as long as you keep aware of traffic conditions, what is the problem?

Not sure on NY but here in the UK there are no restrictions, lucky us eh??

  2. Not as far as I know, but it is extremely dangerous. When cycling, I would recommend not using anything that could potentially distract you (phones, iPods, MP3s...).

  3. yes but only if earphone are worn in both ears...so just put one earphone
