  1. Maybe priced a tad high.......looks pretty heavy.   But if it has been well taken care of and you are gonna use it for tooling around town and not any long rides, it should do the trick.

  2. It's probably a fair deal.  Granted, I don't even know the model, just the manufacturer.  The picture doesn't give a ton of detail, except that the bike seems in ok shape.  Raleigh is a decent manufacturer, specializing in quality entry-level bicycles.  It's much better than any bicycle you could find in  a department store, if that helps.

  3. Why was the spokes changed? Maybe a harsh rider who broke some spokes. Bike seems a bit heavy, try to get it for $150. Just because he changed everything does not make it a better bike. Check it out before exchanging money.

  4. Well i wouldn't but i freeride so my idea of a good bike is something beafed-up and expensive

  5. Nah - leave it well alone. Who in the right mind buys a Raleigh then two years later takes it to pieces and rebuilds it even changing the spokes?

Why didn't he just buy a decent bike in the first place?

It sounds a bit iffy to me.

Try free ads for a Specialised, GT, Giant or Trek.

  6. mmmmmmmm i would still look around better bike and better deals
