Cyclone in Burma, Earthquake in China = Global warming?

Do you think that the recent natural disasters (the cyclone in Burma & eathquake in China) are a sign that global warming really is happening?

Or is it just a coincidence that two natural disasters happened so recently?

It reminds me of 'The Day After Tomorrow'

  1. every year we encounter some kind of natural disaster hurricane katrina, tornados , etc etc.... this is nothing new, however since the brainwashing came into effect of global b.s.  it is suddenly somthing new!

  2. Just coincidence, natural disasters have happened throughout the history of the world.  We have more people today plus we have instant media coverage to report on it.

  3. There is no proven correlation between weather and large earthquakes.  You can't blame any one event (like the cyclone) on global warming, it's more of a statement about average conditions, but it is possible that there will be more strong storms as the world warms.  The two things happening so closely together is just a coincidence.

  4. The cyclone and the earthquake actually point to something entirely different.  With the Internet, global 24 hour news networks and the human tendency towards schadenfreude, we are much more aware of disasters occurring around the world then we were in recent history.  The frequency of dramatic earth events hasn't increased, just our awareness of them.

  5. A good education in science would help you a lot!

  6. Maybe it is a message from God? Unleashing his wrath and all that. At first I thought it was a religious sign.

Nevertheless it is a tragedy and I hope I can contribute in some way no matter how small to help the people.

  7. A great movie, good way to thin out people

  8. Earthquakes and weather are in no way related.  It is an unfortunate chain of events, but neither is linked to the myth of global warming.

The Day After Tomorrow was only a movie and unrealistic at that.

    Yes, just a coincidence.
