Cyclones and Earthquakes?

Was the recent cyclone in Mynamar that hit just days before the deadly earthquake in China related? Fairly close in proximity etc. Are they ever related? I know that earthquakes can cause Tsunami's but was curious how a cyclone plays into it. My hunch says it was just a coincidence but curious nonetheless.

A cyclone is weather related , an earth quake is caused by plate tectonics (moverment of the earth's plates.) they ar enot related.
