Cydni Aird claims Girls 200-yard IM title: 2011 High School State Championships, Redding
Cydni Aird and Noah Burrell impressed Redding’s arena as Aird clinched the Girls 200-yard Individual Medley title, while Burrell went on to win the Boys-200 yard IM crown in California, USA. The results of the NSCIF Masters were published, on Thursday, November
3.
Cydni Aird was the hot favourite to win the 200-yard IM battle over her rivals. As soon as the final race started, Aird rose to the expectations of her followers and did not lose her speed against her competitors. Rather Aird hit the finishing cordon in
a record breaking mark of 2 minutes and 15.56 seconds to win the Girls 200-yard Individual Medley title.
Keely Johnson earned second place honours by claiming the finishing fence in a time of 2 minutes and 19.10 seconds, while Maddie Gray settled for third place in a mark of 2 minutes and 25.50 seconds. In addition, Taylor Serna picked fourth spot by touching
the finishing cordon in a mark of 2 minutes and 32.22 seconds and Halle Ohlin settled at fifth place in a spot of 2 minutes and 38.98 seconds.
Kimberly Wright got sixth position in a time of 2 minutes and 39.13 seconds, whereas, Gabrielle Breshears settled for seventh place in a spot of 2 minutes and 40.26 seconds.
Mayson Trujillo earned eighth position by claiming the finishing blockade in a blot of 2 minutes and 41.17 seconds, while Apryl Witherspoon settled for ninth place in a mark of 2 minutes and 46.62 seconds. Finally, Allison Lafayette settled at tenth spot
by hitting the finishing mark in a time of 2 minutes and 46.84 seconds.
On the other hand, the Boys 200-yard IM title was taken over by Noah Burrell in a fastest time of 2 minutes and 04.89 seconds. DJ Tice claimed second position by touching the finishing barrier in a time of 2 minutes and 05.25 seconds, while Steven Jordan
earned third position in a time of 2 minutes and 05.31 seconds.
Additionally, Andrew Hasek and Connor Hughes finished fourth and fifth in a time of 2 minutes and 10.05 seconds and 2 minutes and 10.86 seconds, respectively.
