  1. Hey Nick

HCS pack is good . When you get relly good, than check out Sabians , Zildjians or whatever you can afford and what is pleasing to your ears.

Better to practice on those because, if you hit cymbals the wrong way, they can crack or split.

  2. Yeh go for it...get some cymbals cause the band win all the time...and it's totally the cymbals that are doing that! Haha

Anyway...I would most definately go and try them out. You will never know if they are good or not by someone elses opinions! Everybody thinks differently of cymbals. For example..I am not a great fan of Zildjian (they sound great but i personally dont like them)..I prefer Sabians sound and will buy nothing else other than Sabian! If I was you I wouldn't jump into the whole thing...Sabian, Zildjian, Paiste are all other great brands....and to be honest for the money, Sabians lower end XS20 starter sets are some of the best sounding starter cymbals I have ever heard! I would strongly reccomend you look around first!

  3. I'd get a Custom Pearl set with either Zildjan or Saiban Cymbals, that's what our jazz bands use at our school and we win first all the time...

    ...SERIOUSLY!!
