Cyprus International 2013: Marie Demy outplays Shamim Bangi in Women’s Singles quarter-final
Belgium’s upcoming player Marie Demy proved her mettle on court as she surged into Women’s Singles semi-final after defeating Uganda’s Shamim Bangi in quarter-final clash at 25th Li-Ning Winter Sun Cyprus International 2013 on Saturday, January 26, in Cyprus.
The lofty Marie, who has been impressive throughout the tournament, continued her winning performance in the quarter-final clash and outwitted the fourth seeded Bangi in just 26 minutes.
Belgian lady was in smashing form as she did not show any mercy to her higher ranked opponent at any stage in the battle and easily registered a straight-set victory by a convincing 21-15 and 21-17 score on the board.

Bangi tried her best to put up strong resistance but could not take charge of rallies and remained trailing in the concluding half.
