Hi is anyone off to Cyprus this month?

I'm going there Weds and wanted to see if anyone could tell me the best and worst places? If there are any special boat tours? Stuff to do with Dolphins? Where the shops mainly are? Anything like that?

Also what types of Sharks are found around there?

I am going to Paphos In Cyrpus.

Anything is helpful :) Cheers x

  1. There are boat tours but I 've never heard of dolphins being in Cyprus, there's loads of shops and a market in Paphos. There is an aquarium where you can see sea life can'tsay what it's like I've never been,Theres the mosaics near the Fort worth seeing,The Troodos mountains is good, and if you really want something go on a trip to Egypt you can fly from there or on cruise ship. The best bits are Cypriot people and the weather the worse bits going back home.

  2. I lived there for a month last year, its a lovely place, but i found it too hot (i didnt have air con in my apartment, this might have helped greatly, also there wasn't much greenery, given the climate.  Limmasol is a dirty port town, but with some good shopping. Paphos is just like being in a sunny UK.  Go down the road to Coral Bay where there is a better beach than in Paphos.  Have a lovely time!

  3. well my best friends goes there every year and she always goes on boat trips and always comes back with the most fantastic presents so that tells you something and acrually im sure she once said something about solphins not sure tho babe x

  4. Hi:

    1. Paphos is a beautiful town to visit. The weather is sunny and warm so you can enjoy swimming at this time of the year. There is nightlife and ancient monuments to visit. There are many restaurants to enjoy, especially at the harbour area where you can find  boat tours.

    2. If you have time there are  3 days crouises on a regular base departing from Limassol port, for Egypt and Rhodes.

    3. My suggestion is to rent a car and visit some of the villages near Paphos, like Peyia and Polis, where you can find traditional restaurants and fresh fish. For shopping, go to the centre of Paphos or visit the 2 shopping Malls of the town. Or, even better, drive for about 80 minutes to Nicosia for your shopping.

  5. Hi, I am also going on Wed, but i fly into Larnaca,i am staying in Pernera, (Protaras) i can't wait. Paphos is very historical, beware of the beaches some are lovely but some are dangerous for swimming, but there are signs to tell you which are safe and which are not.  There are two parts to Paphos the old town and the new town, you will be told their locations, the shopping is great in Cyprus, if you can go to Larnaca all the designer shops are there, i know that my children swam with dolphins in Ayia Napa, but the rep will tell you of nearer locations to swim with dolphins.  If you drive take your driving licence, they drive on the same side of the road as UK, i drive all the time i am there, (watch out for speed traps). Have a great stay, if you want any more info you can email me.  I cant wait........
