Cystic fibrosis???????

i just found out that my friends daughter has cystic fibrosis. She is only 2 years old. She was also born with no Cleft Palate and needs two hip replacements. What are the chances of her surviving?

  1. if she meakes it through the surgeries its still not guranteed. my 7 month old daughter has cf and right now the average life span is 38 years. trust me i know it breaks your heart to hear that because it hurts mine everyday but cf is a serious disease that doesnt get the help it needs like some other terminally ill disease. if u ever have any more questions on cf i will be happy to help just email me at monkeygurl072003@yahoo.com


  2. if she makes it through the surgeries for her palate and hip replacements she would have good chances of living into her 40's or 50's.  Although her chances of making it through the surgeries are something else entirely.

  3. I'm 13 and i was diganosed at birth. when i was born my right hip and right knee were out of place. the doctors also ended up cutting out half of my small intestine. im sure that she will survive. the expected life span of someone with CF is 38. but that improves with more advanced technology.
