Umm . . . since he died a rather gruesome death almost 90 years ago, no, I wouldn't want to be a pile of hack-up, acid-scarred bones that have been moved from place to place for almost 100 years.

Well no doubt the old boy did die a gruesome death at the hand of the communists.  It is reassuring however that his royal blood flows on in the veins of Rory Emerald, Baron of Sligo!

Nicholas, the eldest son of Alexander III, the Tsar of Russia, and Marie Feodorovna, was born at Krasnoye Selo in May 1868. When he was twenty-three he narrowly escaped assassination in Japan.

Nicholas succeeded to the throne following his father’s death from liver disease on 20th October, 1894. Later that month he married the German princess, Alexandra of Hesse-Darmstadt. Alexandra, the grand-daughter of Queen Victoria, was a strong believer in the autocratic power of Tsardom and urged him to resist demands for political reform.

I was Tsar Nicholas II last month; being female I had to wear a false beard which was more than a bit ticklish.

Do I want to anything? Let me think. Well next month I was thinking of being Mae West as that would give me a good excuse to eat chocolate and cakes to pile on the pounds.
