Czech Republic coach Michal Bilek heaped praise on his team’s performance in the 1-2 defeat to Spain on Friday in the Euro 2012 qualifier.
He said that his side gave their best in the match but could not match the opposition’s quality.

The former Sparta Prague player also expressed his disappointment on the defeat and said his side could have done better after taking the lead in the first half.
“From the start, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 were the big favourites and with this victory they have virtually qualified for the European Championships. We are pretty disappointed because we could have done more, although Spain always have an advantage against any team,” Bilek
was quoted as saying in an interview.
The tactician praised his side for a strong performance and admitted that the visitors played a very good game as expected. He said that the things went really well for the team in the first period as they were in lead at the interval but the opposition
came back in the second half and scored twice.
Bilek insisted his team was unlucky to get nothing from the fixture and added that the primary focus of the team now is qualification for the Euro 2012 next year.
“They played a good game and it was what we expected. We held the lead for quite a long time but then we were punished twice by Villa. I must say that my players worked exactly as I imagined they would. We gave our best and, unfortunately, we got nothing,”
he added.
