Czech manager expects physical game against Scotland
Michal Bilek, coach of the Czech national team, has said that his team will have to fight hard to earn any points against an "aggressive" Scottish team on Friday.
Bilke's team yet to collect any points in Group I, having lost their opening fixture to Lithuania 1–0 in September.
On Friday, the Czech team host Scotland in Prague, and Bilek expects Craig Levein's team to employ a similar formation to the 4–5–1 system that was used by Lithuania.
"When we played Scotland the last time, the style was pretty unpleasant," the manager told the Press Association of his side's 1–0 friendly loss six months ago. "I'm not trying to say they're like the typical Scottish and English teams of 30 years ago. What
I mean is they are pretty aggressive and fight for every inch of the pitch, like they did in March."
Scotland's opening qualifier against Lithuania ended in a goalless draw, but the team then went on to defeat Liechtenstein 2–1 at Hampden Park.
Hopes for a full house in Prague
Bilek, whose side will enjoy the home advantage, said he hopes that Prague's Synot Tip Arena will sell out for Friday's game despite his team's recent home defeat.
"I am wishing for a full house and I know some tickets are still available. The reason for that is obvious, the first match was a failure and people are fed up. I wish to ask them to come and support us."
Arsenal's Tomas Rosicky, who is set to make his 75th international appearance on Friday, has said that his country's hopes of qualifying for the 2012 tournament could be ended by Scotland on Friday.
"It may, in theory, be a quick end but we still have a chance," Bilek said of the high stakes. "The teams knows that and I hope it will be apparent that we will be motivated."
