  1. Prayer/Mantra: Holy (your deity here), empower my mind, body and soul that I may smite the smiter, defend the defenseless and sever the evil mind from the body that sustains it.

"Spiritual Weapon" is a long-time personal favorite  spell of mine, and I think is is the quintessential mid-level cleric spell. I mean, a glowing, twirling avatar of your deity's favored weapon whacking everything in sight. Classic. I have a Favored Soul/Crusader/Ruby Knight Vindicator that pimps it out all of the time. That and the "Light of Lunia" (or whatever) branch of offensive spells.

I wish your friend comfort and peace.

  2. Hello..I play a 16th lvl Paladin on Dungeon & Dragons Online..I use cleric spells..for a complete list..go to www.ddo.com  on the compendium tab, click spells, then select class, then select cleric, gives the name of spell, and what it does. Hope this helps..and best regards to your friend..

  3. You will want to use things that inspire hope and serenity and peacefulness with someone who is dying.  In my experience with this, if you can work it out to include something about all of us being star dust and continuing to exist on some level, even after death, that would be good.  Also something about life energy, and the fact that energy cannot be destroyed, only changed.  Best of luck.
