D&D the board game?

I always wanted to try it, but never can find a free board game of it online can any 1 help

dungeons and dragons is not really a board game i play it all the time. its a roll playing game with books for referencing things most trading card stores such as borders and coyotes den have samples u can try. its really really fun. for more info go to wizards of the coast.com (no spaces)

Dungeons & Dragons is not a board game. It is a role playing game. All you need is a dungeon master (DM) to guide you through an adventure. To find a DM ask around a your local hobby store or attend a local game convention (if you live in a town with a college, ask around there top contact players). You need to nothing about the game; just a willingness to participate!

There is no free online board game of D&D, but there is a board game version of D&D put out by Hasbro (the parent company of Wizards of the Coast, who publish D&D). Details can be seen at http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/6366 As for D&D the RPG, it can be played online using a number of methods: play by email/message board, play by chat and play using various helper applications like OpenRPG. (WotC is coming out with one of these themselves as part of the new 4th edition to expedite online play.)
