D-Link wireless router?

I can get on the internet and use it fine and everything but the little computer in the corner is X'd out which usually means I haven't connected yet, also when I view the wireless network connection status is says "Not Connected."

Anyone know why it's doing this and how it can be fixed? Thanks

  1. Probably because your system is using a wireless network manager that came with the router instead of the windows WiFi net manager.  The only way to get rid of that, is to tell the system to use Windows Wireless Net Manager as the default manager instead of the other one.  Your best bet, however, if your connectivity is working fine -- LEAVE IT ALONE!!

  2. If you loaded drivers for your d-link then you may have downloaded the software that will manage your connections.  If this is the case then you should have a green box next to the computer.  if you click that you will be able to see all your connections and connect to the one of your choose.  The computer with the x through it is windows connection which you shouldnt need any more.
