  1. Osteopaths believe headache pain stemming from pressure on nerves or blood vessels can be eased by neuromuscular manipulation and soft-tissue massage of your head, neck, and upper back.

A chiropractor may be able to ease the strain by spinal or cervical manipulation and realignment

  2. NO.  DOs are very fine doctors.  But they in no way can perform specific upper cervical manipulation like a chiropractor.  Some DOs are very good manipulators but very few are.  But you are asking about upper cervical work.  Chiropractore area specifically schooled in just this area.

  3. maybe.

you'd be surprised to find that manipulation is really not taught in osteopathic school much anymore.  some older DOs may do it, but now they are mostly trained for specialities like internal medicine, ER etc.

I'm a chiropractor & there are 5-6 DOs in town, only one of which does any spinal manipulation & he only does thoracic stuff & refers out for everything else.
