We do that. We grow up with; or have a love affair while; or a special memory of an afternoon... and we place the way a certain Jock sounded during a phase in his/her career. Then the personality moves on and perhaps his feeling and those of his handlers think a slight shift in appeal would be smart.

Changes follow, the jock gets a little older, the appeal moves with him. But you want to remember that perfect day when Purtan made you laugh, or introduced you to what would become "your song" or we... whatever you know what I mean.
