No matter what I do, reset, whatever. Unplug, plug back in.

All the lights on my dlink DI-624 are lit up, and it says my a network cable is unplugged.

I had to resort to plugging my computer into the modem directly to ask this.

Using comcast btw.

  1. If its saying a network cable is unplugged, then theres a problem with the original cable you were using to connect the comp to the router. Although if your using the exact same cable to connect the modem directly to the comp, then theres a problem with the connection port you were using on the router. Try a different port if you can, if it still says network cable unplugged, then the connection ports at the back of the router are probably screwed.

  2. New setup or did it work before and now doesn't?

Does the computer work wirelessly elsewhere? (Sure it's not the computer?)

    Plugged in correctly?

Modem to wall, modem to router.

Can you get a connection with your computer by plugging into the router with the cable?  Does the light go on on the ethernet card?

  3. ok based on what your saying here sounds like the router is toast
