  1. Sure. I don't play the cello lol, I had one lesson.

    Open D string

    First finger E natural

    Second finger F natural

    Fourth finger G natural

    Open A string

    First finger B flat

    Second finger C natural

    Fourth finger D natural

    I'm pretty sure that's right.

  2. that's correct (the first answer is) but the Bflat is made by using a backwards extension, then reaching with the third finger for the Csharp at the top of the scale

  3. To make a note, we always play melodic minor scales on cello (all strings actually) when we talk minor. So I'll give you going up and going down unless for some reason you need natural or harmonic. Let me know. The answer above is correct for the natural minor although its rarely used.

    Going Up

    Notes--------Fingering

    D--------------open D string

    E--------------1 on D string

    F--------------2 on D string

    G--------------4 on D string

    A--------------open A string

    B--------------1 on A string

    C#------------3 on A string

    D--------------4 on A string

    Going Down

    Notes--------Fingering

    D--------------4 on A string

    Cnatural----2 on A string

    Bb------------x1 back on A string

    A--------------open A string

    G--------------4 on D string

    F--------------2 on D string

    E--------------1 on D string

    D--------------Open D string
