I just think if you have to learn brail AND learn to read all in one go, then maybe that makes you more intelligent?

  1. Not really that just makes you more learned.  Now the question I want to know is the person learning brail blind or just learning because.  If they are blind it may be more difficult to learn brail and learn to read at the same time but that says nothing about the intelligence of the person.  He could be a very intelligent person but then again there is a 12 year old that graduated college.  So it does not measure the intelligence of a person.  That same person could commit murder and even though he was intelligent in some aspect he could be unintelligent with the rest of his though process.

  2. no i think it doesnt make you any more brilliant if you can do both things or one of them but that means you just have to learn how to do them.  It does require some intelligence though!

  3. If by intelligence you mean that you know more, sure. I don't know why you would learn braile if you could read, though. "Reading" braile doesn't count, knowing braile means that you can read it with your finger alone.

  4. yes, because people who use braille, spend more time reading than watching TV like some counch potatoes.

  5. YES!! I totally agree with you because they only have their sence of touch now to read. That makes them more intelegint

  6. No. If learning brail from the time you were an infant, it is no different than if you were learning to read. It's just like language. It is easier for a kid to do it than for an adult.

If you are not born blind and when you are older you go blind...It may be harder to learn brail.

  7. it dosen't make you more intelligent it just means you use your intelligence

  8. n0

  9. nope

  10. I think it depends on the person...If you are an intelligent sighted person..then you might be able to read first....(before other academic subjects..ie. math)..Just because a person picks up on brail quick..reading....with their fingers..doesn't mean that they are a mathematician...

is that person good at everthing when reading brail with their fingers..or just reading...they could be gifted in one subject like many sited people are....

  11. I think it does because reading a brail involves more effort than simply reading a book. And your brain is somewhat more challenged in reading it. Any thing challenging stimulates your brain and helps make it sharper. so people who read brails use more mind power than those who not.

  12. yes, maybe. but im sure people who use brail are blind. hehe.

  13. A person who uses brail must find where the brail is first!

  14. why would you ask such a question seriously?  One is blind and one isn't....where we have the luxury of sight, those that read brail due to blindness have other hightened senses we don't...if you can read and also interpret brail then hands off, you should teach and also learn sign to assist :)
