D40 Lens Fit D300 Camera Body?

I've recently purchased the Nikon D40 with the standard 18 - 55mm lens. I'm now considering buying the Nikon D300 - however, will my current lens fit the D300?

Your AF-S lens will work on any current Digital SLR cameras made by Nikon

Yes all DX lens fit all Nikon Digital cameras except the new D700 which is an FX (full frame) sensor.

i had the same as you a d40 now i have a d300 and like every accesory for it well anyway ya u can but when you purchase lenses make sure they are not for film cameras or 35mm
