D40x and SB-600 Sync Cord Please Helpme !!!?

Hi, i have a Nikon D40x and SB-600. I want go the flash off camera. I research what i need to do that. The answer was i have to buy Nikon SC-28, but the cord is only 3' Long.

Have another Solution to get a longer distance ?

  1. You can buy an extension cable at any photographic shop.

    or

    Buy a flash trigger that detects the flash from your camera to fire an additional flash.

    or

    A radio release. A box fits on your camera's flash shoe and a box for each flash. When the camera fires so do all the flashes. Not too expensive on ebay.


  2. Three feet is long enough ... how long is your arm?

    For longer distances, mount the flash off camera and use the SB-600 as a remote flash, triggered by your on camera flash set a lower setting.

    I have one and have used it twice in three years.
