I have the t-mount and a 2x teleconverter and everything is on properly, I just don't know how to take photographs with it. I have it in priority mode and I'm aiming my camera at all sorts of things, but I have no idea how to get my camera to work with it. Is there some sort of way to get this to work that I'm not doing properly?

  1. With a T-mount lens and a teleconvertor, you have an unmetered, manual focus lens.

Set your camera for manual, and take some test shots with different settings.  View the results in your lcd review screen and use the setting that gives you the best results.

T-mount lens mount, but don't have the electronic connections necessary for modern digital slr's.  A teleconvertor will dim the image, so autofocus with most camera is very, very difficult.  On a Nikon D40, D40x, or D60, you'll need to manually focus anyway, since no T-mount lens has the required internal af motor.
