I am looking for a new tube for tubing on our family boat. I said that we should get the "Le Tube" by O'Brien, which is $70. This is a pretty cheap tube, but my mom wants to get a DBX tube that is the same size (link below). I told her that this tube isnt very good, but i couldnt give a good reason. Does anyone have any good reasons to get an Obrien over a DBX?

  1. You are definitely better off with the O'Brien tube, it's lighter, tougher and therefore more durable - well worth the extra cash dude...

  2. Between the two, I think the O'brien is a slightly tougher tube, I have one that's 5 years old and still going strong with no leaks.  The  DBX tube  seemed like it was made about the same, but I don't see too many people to have them out on the water.  I guess if you can get one for that price it might be worth it.  Usually I see the DBX for around $55 - $60.
