DCU credit cards- how easy to get them?

Hi, I am trying desperately to get credit history and get credit cards. I have following questions for increasing credit score- it is zero now :(

1. Does having many cards a useful thing? - Currenly I have one

2. I heard from couple of sources that DCU cards are easy to get- is that true? if yes can some one suggest which card?

clarification- I do not want secure cards.

If your credit score is 0%, there is a way to boost that without a credit card. In the upper right hand column of the page linked below is another article entitled Credit Report Services. It might be helpful as well.
