I hear there are safety concerns with DECT 6.0. Is there level of interference protection that much better between 6.0 and 5.8ghz? Could i just get a digital 5.8?

  1. What, prey tell is a DECT 5.8 GHz?

  2. The 6.0 in a DECT (digital enhanced cordless telephone) device is the software version number, not the frequency.  DECT devices made for use in the U.S. use the brand "DECT 6.0" to distinguish them from both DECT devices used elsewhere and U.S. cordless equipment operating in the 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz ISM bands. The term "6.0 GHz" for DECT 6.0 phones is incorrect, since it operates at 1.9 GHz.  So you can't get a 5.8 GHz DECT.  For more information, see the wiki link below.
