DENMAN or KAUTO STAR for the gold cup?

Question

cumon people put ur neck on the line who is gonna win the gold cup denman or kauto star.

i fancy kauto start because i still see denman as a novice and i dont think he has the quality or the experience to out run kauto yet but maybe next year. for me denman just hasnt run in enough races of this type of quality to win for me and to be honest i would even be surprised if denman places with all the quality in this years gold cup field

It depends if Kauto will run in the Gold Cup. It was reported yesterday that he picked up an injury. All the bookies suspended the betting. If he is ok then im sure he will beat Denmam.

for me its just a great race i will sit back and watch with intrigue as i wont be betting in that race so dont really care who wins as long as they all come home safe i will be betting on other races though .

my opinion on this race changes by the hour. i convince myself that denman will be able to put kauto under more pressure than he has ever been under before & will out gallop kauto & the rest of the field &to say he's a novice who has never beaten anything please get real , the way he won the hennesey in november ,the win in ireland over xmas & the way he destroyed a good field 8 days ago blows away your statement. the next minute i believe kauto( who has been there & done that) will have too much of a finishing kick for denman.

however if you really want an answer the i'm backing Denman  but i will  have changed my mind in 1 hours time. the real answer is enjoy  a great sporting occasion when 2 great chasers go head to head in the best gold cup in decades & pray the field all return in one piece.

p.s. i'm going on the thursday of the festival & will be backing kasbah bliss in the stayers hurdle . is anybody else going to the festival?

there is no doubt Kauto will run, isnt a £1m odd at steak?? Denman is the new kid on the block and i should have lumped on when h was 5/2-2/1??

but as i suspect ,that a set back to the stable star wouldn't be a catastrophe but it's a while since i've been so eager about watching a duel such as this but i would say fully fit kauto

kauto star as i watch denmans last race and even though he won it by a country mile he was racing against nobodys and his jumping is to the standard of kautos

kauto is running in the gold cup paul nicholls has confirmed that and i think kauto starwill win by 4 to 8 lengths followed by his stablemate denman

I think Kauto will have too much pace for Denman.

Denman would not have won a Tingle Creek the way Kauto did and he probably wouldn't have beaten the likes of Monet's Garden the way Kauto did on Saturday.

As long as the ground is good then it's Kauto Star for me.

denman yes kauto star no kauto is most likley going to be pulled ou the race because he sprained a fetlock running at ascot on saturday shame really

denman was only beaten 1 last year and kauto is a really bad jumper

The going will be the deciding factor, but it is certainly going to be some race, and they are both getting the same preparation. I have no doubts they will be first and second but will wait to see  the going before I decide. Exotic Dancer for a place is a good bet at 12-1 with William Hill. Good Luck with your selections

its to close to call for me. i think i will be looking for a little value e/w to fill the 3rd spot . and how you can still see denman as a novice and say he wont finish in the first 3 is just laughable. it will deffo finish in the first 2
