DERBY UK resident , Im gettin married in the summer.....Long winded q comin up!!!?

Hello all!

Im getting married in the summer and require a simple but nice function room/restaurant in DERBY (not Derbyshire) United Kingdom, to hold the reception. Only going to be a small do, approx 70people. I have been lookin everywhere for some assistance (webwise) and not many places in Derby have websites.

My fiance has never been to Derby and me being born there, would love to show him how great it is. I love the City Centre pubs/restaurants and would love to look at places in Derbyshire, but they are out of my price range!!!

also try your local conservative clubs, local RAFA clubs, local british legion clubs, cricket clubs and rugby clubs, as they are generally cheaper venues to hire... good luck!

there is a function room at pride park, they are reasonably priced there as well

I was going to have mine there, but moved to nottingham & got married there instead

HAVE YOU TRIED YOUR local golf clubs, they like doing "do's" and they are often reasonably priced.

There is a book called the wedding planner which gives loads of information including venues for weddings. you can order a copy at www.weddingplanner.co.uk I found it very helpful when I was getting married. You can also get some information regarding venues on their website.
