DESIGNATED SMOKERS AREA-airports banished..free country?????

Question

It's one thing to abolish smoking in restaurants and bars. Not a problem. But for the people from all over the world that fly into the airports here in the U.S., and the aircraft personel who can longer smoke in thier hotle rooms{which are designated by the airline}, WHy banish the smoking area{out of the way } smoking areas{outside} at the airport.???? Although a nasty and unhealthy habit and being so incredibly hard for those of us to quit. I believe that this has gone too far. It is still legal to purchase in stores. What's next????? alcohol banment in the airports????? This is about as rediculous as PALM BEACH county allowing for families to buy 4th of July fireworks but not allowing them to be set off......:{'

I agree with you its about time us smokers get some freaking rights also!!!!!!!! I am so sick of these laws banning us from smoking everywhere, why cant we have our own smoking sections anywhere anymore!?!?!? The gov. isnt stopping alcohol use like they are cigarettes its such BS, I can understand public places where we have to share the same space but if seperated I dont see a problem. Also if I dont care about the effects on my body I dont need to hear that excuse about them doing it for us!! So tired of this hating on smokers c**p!!!!!!!

i have a right to stay healthy i dont like the smell of ciggies and the fact that 2nd hand smoke is damaging i didnt chode to be damaged by smoke you guys did you guys deal with it because we shouldnt have to

If you want to poison yourself you have to go to a place where there is no people around. You can't be smoking outside the airport where there is people, elderlies..babies walking by. Is nasty and I don't know when you people (smokers) are going to realize that!!!! Is not just about smoking outside...is that people that doesn't smoke still gets it somehow and is nasty, disgusting!!!! If you want to kill yourself you are going to have to do it on your own...and very far away from us...smoke in your house and live with it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a smoker and I don't like second hand smoke but I do feel your have a point.  We all know smoking is bad for you but I don't think legislation to make it difficult for you to harm yourself is appealing either.  I don't think it should be the role of the government to decide this type of thing for you.  Additionally since the world is overpopulated why not let those who want to kill themselves albeit slowly do just that.

ur right,i agree with u completly, our rights r being taken away from us one after one, they cant just leave us alone can they?. they speak of their health as if theyr perfect. there must be a smoking area EVERYWHERE, unless they want us to not care and start smoking wherever. non smokers why dont u go chew on some lettuce or something? i heard its good for ur health! .stop harrassing smokers, its not like ur lungs r going to fall from the cigarettes.
