DESPERATE...Need LIVE IN HELP in Dallas/FT.Worth area?

Question

I need cooking, cleaning, laundry, ironing. Must be VERY neat and organized and must keep the house tidy at all times. Plus also some babysitting needed, but will not attend to the children. I am looking for a LONG TERM employee that can grow to be part of the family. Please advice on compensation. How much should I pay her? THANKS

Howdy, DFW!  West *way west* of FWorth here.  I will keep an ear out, but most of my family already have jobs.  Really, I would base the pay on how much this person has to do and how long she/he will be there.

Put an ad in the Star Tele on line.  I heard it was pretty cheap.

Put an ad on Craig's List.  When I did a job like this, I only got minimum wage, and that made me VERY bitter.  I wasn't getting compensated fairly, and was putting in WAY too many hours -- 14 hours a day, at least, for $350 a week.

Please pay them well!  And give them breaks.  And don't overuse them.  Let them have their own life.

If I were going to do this again, knowing what I know now, I wouldn't accept any less than $750 a week.
