I had a Samsung DVD player / recorder but it got screwed IDK why!!! never put a clone disc in it, only use it for recording @ Samsung they told me it was the loader and the laser system that records (cause it didn't record anymore but still was able to play discs) So, I bought a new DVD Recorder / Player, its LG, it was cheaper than have the other change all the laser and recording hardware and I lend the "messed one" to a friend who's having a bit of $$$ trouble, so his kid could watch some movies this vacation. My question is: Will play in my brand new LG DVD Recorder DVD-R discs that I recorded in the Samsung player mess it, cause I still don't know what messed the other recorder and I'm sure I don't wanna mess the new DVD player / rec. BTW: The discs I'm talking about are finalized but I don't have other player that takes DVD-R discs other than the new recorder and I know I can ask my friend for the Samsung but I don't wanna be an indian giver (WITH ALL DUE RESPECT TO NATIVE-US)

  1. Short answer: No

Playing ANY disk in ANY player will almost never mess it up. The worst thing that will happen is that it just won't read the disc. But, from what you have told us, the discs should be compatible and I see no reason why your LG won't read the discs you Samsung burned.
