These are the annoying beeps every time I press a button on anything plastic I have bought in the past decade. Are there ways to get rid of them?

  1. You need to access the circuit board and disconnect the wires going to the little piezoelectric transducer, or speaker, and that would disable all sounds.

The drawback is that the microwave would not be able to tell you when the food is done, but you probably would not miss that beep either.

Alternatively, if it is indeed a piezo unit, placing a piece of tape over the little opening where the sound comes out is remarkably effective at reducing the volume.

Unfortunately, there is no easy software solution, usually, because the software is usually in a prom, and you would have no way of altering this yourself.

If you do not have some basic knowledge of electrical devices, have a technician friend help, as there are precautions that must me taken to avoid injury or damage to the equipment.
